A viral video has drawn attention to the reported condition of an ambulance said to have been donated to a hospital in Anambra State more than 13 years ago by former state governor, Peter Obi.
In the video, a man who appears to be at the hospital displays the ambulance and calls on the state government, led by Governor Chukwuma Soludo, to address its condition.
Pointing at the vehicle, the man said: “Look at the ambulance former Anambra State governor, Mr Peter Obi, donated to this hospital more than 13 years ago. Look at its current condition.”
He further questioned the state government’s efforts toward maintaining medical equipment and providing functional emergency vehicles, alleging that the ambulance had not been adequately maintained.
“The present government, under Governor Soludo, can’t even maintain the ambulance or buy a new one,” he said.
