There Is No Evidence — Peter Obi Still Claims He Won 2023 Presidential Election

Peter Obi

Former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has again insisted that he won the 2023 presidential election, even after his legal challenges against the election outcome were rejected by the courts.

Obi made the assertion during an interview with BBC News, where he was questioned about his continued claim that the election was rigged in favour of President Bola Tinubu.

Asked whether he had evidence to substantiate his claim of victory, Obi acknowledged that he did not have evidence to prove it.

“Frankly, I don’t like going back to the past, but I still think what I think,” he said.

When pressed on the basis for his claim, Obi responded: “Well, there is no evidence, everything is not based on evidence.”

The interviewer challenged Obi over his decision to focus on the future while maintaining his position on the disputed 2023 election.

Despite the exchange, the former Anambra State governor remained firm in his position.

“I won the election,” Obi said.
