Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has said he has directed the state Attorney General to look into the case involving popular content creator Glad Uniq, who was remanded over her controversial viral video titled “Characteristics of Ngwa People Part 2.”
Otti made this known during a media chat while responding to questions about the content creator’s remand and the controversy generated by her comments about the Ngwa people.
The governor said he had instructed the Attorney General to examine the matter, adding that he did not believe it should be taken too seriously.
“I have directed the Attorney General to look into the matter. I don’t think we should take this too seriously,” Otti said.
Glad Uniq had reportedly apologised over the controversial video, which attracted widespread reactions from members of the public.
However, she was subsequently remanded at the Aba Correctional Centre until February 17, 2027.
