Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has slammed reports circulating on social media alleging that she was arrested in Abuja, describing the claims as malicious and entirely false.
Over the weekend, several TikTok users shared fabricated “wanted” posters and misleading videos suggesting the actress had been apprehended by authorities. The rumours quickly gained traction, prompting concern among her fans.
Reacting through a fiery TikTok and Instagram Live session, Ojo condemned those behind the rumours, stating that their actions were aimed at exploiting her name for online traffic and profit.
“To you all rumour mongers spreading fake news about me, it shall not be well with you. Who did they arrest?” she said angrily. “Your fake news makes my fans worried, and they start calling to check on me. You love to mention my name just to pull traffic to your page and make money.”
She further warned that anyone wishing her harm is attracting negativity to themselves.
“You are heaping curses on your own head because I am a special being. Anyone who wishes me bad, it will go back to the sender,” she declared.
The actress urged her followers to disregard the reports, reaffirming that she is safe, free, and continuing her activities without interruption.
