Actress, Uche Ogbodo Accuses GUO Transport of Withholding Parcel, Demanding Unjust Fees

Uche Ogbodo and GUO

Popular Nollywood actress and entrepreneur, Uche Ogbodo, has taken to social media to share a troubling experience with leading transport and logistics company, GUO Transport. In a strongly worded statement, Ogbodo accused the company of mishandling her parcel and described a disturbing pattern of negligence and lack of accountability among logistics providers in Nigeria.

The actress, who frequently uses courier services for her business Body Gang Societyy, narrated that a package was sent to her from Abuja via GUO, but she never received a notification of its arrival. After waiting five days without communication from the company, she sent her personal assistant to the GUO office in Ajah, Lagos, with proper identification and a written note authorizing pickup. However, she alleges the staff on duty refused to release the package, citing the absence of a delivery confirmation PIN—one which, according to Ogbodo, was never sent.

“The guy said I should provide a pin in the text they sent me. I said but I didn’t get any message,” Ogbodo recounted.

When she later went in person to the GUO office, the same staff initially claimed the package was not there. After persistent questioning, he admitted it had arrived but demanded that she pay a demurrage fee before collection. Despite her explanation and pleas, she says he refused to release the parcel without payment and denied her access to any manager or supervisor.

“I asked to see the management or manager on duty, he refused and said I should go and return tomorrow,” she said, adding that other staff appeared complicit by ignoring her complaints.

The actress expressed deep frustration over what she describes as a systemic problem in the logistics sector, where customers frequently lose parcels or are extorted by staff. She emphasized that this issue is no longer confined to smaller operators but now includes major industry players like GUO.

“Why are transport/logistics companies always trying to hide and steal people’s packages?” she asked, tagging GUO Transport directly and calling on the company to investigate and caution its staff.
