Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has stirred conversation on social media after boldly stating that men are responsible for “95 percent” of failed marriages.
In a strongly worded post, the actress argued that many marriages collapse because a significant number of men neglect their wives, cheat, devalue them, cause emotional harm and stress, and ultimately betray the trust in their relationships. According to her, lack of accountability among men — coupled with societal tolerance of such behavior — contributes heavily to broken homes.
“It’s true! They contribute more to failed marriages,” she stated, adding that many women endure emotional neglect and psychological strain before marriages eventually fall apart.
Ogbodo further emphasized that society often enables harmful patterns by excusing men’s misconduct while placing disproportionate blame on women when unions fail.
