The state secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party and indeed Anambra State political community was taken by the storm today as Mr Winston Ndubueze Udeh showered the 21 LGA chairmen with highly priced gifts of very sound Sienna buses to facilitate their party obligations.
Mr Winston is a practicing Lawyer, an Architect, a financial expert, a telecommunications investor, a construction consultant, among other numerous endeavors that can characterize a man as “ALL IN ONE”.
No doubt, High Chief Olisa Metuh was right in his statement on Wednesday during his official reception by the party that on no occasion in the history of Anambra State PDP has the party paraded the quality of distinguished personalities as aspirants, as is being witnessed under the transformational leadership of Hon Sir Ndubisi Nwobu (Obuka Awka).
Today’s event kicked off around 10:00.am with a road show which featured the crème de la crème of the formidable PDP family across the 21 council areas of the state. Other participants were the Rural Women Awakening International (RUWAI) ably led by Hon Mrs Virginia Ego Chukwuogo and numerous support groups that drives Mr Winston’s campaign team.
Reacting to questions from journalists, Mr Winston made it clear that the ruling party All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) has regrettably abandoned the good people of Anambra State despite the massive support accorded to the party over the years, hence the need for a total overhauling of the state administrative structure to usher in a capable government.
He emphasized on the need to take democracy dividends to the citizens who are the real owners of every political mandate, as a key to address the issues of youth restiveness, increasing wave of crimes and underdevelopment which has eaten deep into the fabrics of our democracy.
This admirable proponent of Anambra Will Smile Again Initiative was quite vocal in his proclamation that the PDP will end up in Aguoka House as soon as the November 6th gubernatorial election was conducted, with him comfortably emerging the choice candidate of the PDP delegates and stakeholders.
Mr Ndubueze is confident that the combination of PDP structure and his formidable coordinators in the 21 LGAs of the state have the capacity of pulling through envisaged bottlenecks and landing the party comfortably at the government house Awka via the ballot.
The state chairman of the party Hon Sir Ndubisi Nwobu and his executives could not hide their excitement as they were visibly overjoyed with the outpouring of love from Mr Winston and his campaign team. He urged Mr Winston to continue firing from all cylinders, noting that God will replenish and be with him throughout the journey to his destination. He reiterated the party’s readiness to takeover the government house, especially considering that the journey is more of a process than just an event.
