Anambra South By-Election: Alleged Vote-Buying Rocks Ichi as APGA Accused of Paying ₦10,000 Per Voter

Breaking

Money has reportedly taken center stage in the ongoing Anambra South senatorial by-election as allegations of massive vote-buying trail the process in Ichi, Ekwusigo Local Government Area.

Eyewitnesses alleged that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) is paying voters ₦10,000 each to secure their support. The situation reportedly worsened as thugs believed to be working for the party allegedly took over polling units in Ichi, unleashing violence on those suspected to be voting against APGA.

According to reports, only APGA supporters are being allowed to vote, while others face intimidation and assault. The development has heightened fears of electoral malpractice and disenfranchisement of voters in the area.

Security operatives are yet to issue an official response as tension continues to rise in the affected polling units.
