Luanda, Apr 1 (Prensa Latina) On an invitation by his peer Vladimir Putin, Angolan President Joao Lourenzo on Monday traveled to Moscow to begin his first visit to Russia, as his two predecessors did.
Lourenzo expects to visit Russia for four days and a meeting between the two heads of state is scheduled.
High-level discussions are also planned between delegations of the two countries with a view to strengthening bilateral cooperation.
Lourenzo will also deliver a speech at the State Duma, the Lower House of the Federal Assembly of Russia (bicameral parliament).
A business forum for businessmen from Russia and Angola is also planned.
Both countries focus their collaboration on sectors such as energy, geology and mining, higher education, defense, security, telecommunications and information technologies, as well as fishing, transportation, finance and banking.
