
The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Chairmanship candidate for the forthcoming ANSIEC election in Ayamelum Local Government Area of Anambra State, Hon. Emma Mgbechi, has assured residents that he will not disappoint their trust if elected.
Speaking during a coordinated thank-you visit to party loyalists and supporters at the Ayamelum Local Government Secretariat in Anaku, Mgbechi expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support he has received across the council area.
The APGA candidate reaffirmed his commitment to building what he described as a “greater Ayamelum,” promising to deliver inclusive governance that would transcend party lines. He stressed that his administration, if given the mandate, would focus on unity, development, and equal opportunities for all residents regardless of political affiliation.
Mgbechi, who has a background in teaching, emphasized the importance of competence and capacity-building, especially among young people. He pledged to prioritize youth empowerment by identifying and nurturing individual talents and comparative advantages to boost productivity and self-reliance within the local government.
The ANSIEC election is scheduled to hold in August, with political activities intensifying across various local government areas in Anambra State.
