APGA commended the Anambra State Government for its prompt response to the incident and expressed optimism that the government would come to the aid of those adversely affected by the fire.

It advised the government to take stringent measures to forestall a recurrence, but condemned the activities of armchair critics who had latched on the incident to cause disaffection among the citizenry.

It prayed God to grant the souls of those that died repose in heaven.
