The Barr Dr Mic Adams led leadership of APGA rose from a close door meeting where members of the NWC brainstormed on the urgent issues of the party.
At the end of the meeting, APGA resolved to commit Oye to prison for disobeying the Delta state high court judgement that nullified the May 31, national convention. The NWC frowned at the manner Ozonkpu Ike Oye has continued to parade himself as the national chairman in total disregard to court judgement.
The meeting resolved to write to INEC to henceforth severe any recognition or dealings with Oye in recognition of the Delta high court judgement. It noted that Oye has not challenged the judgement at the Appeal court but merely filed an application for stay which will come up on October 31, 2019.
Below is the communique and the court judgement sent to AIF Media.
Communiqué of NWC meeting on 24th August, 2019
NWC of our great Party met behind close door for several hours of debate and brainstorming. At the end of the extraordinary 22nd meeting, rose up with the following resolutions:
1.) A vote of confidence to Dr Adams led regime.
2.) To notify and call to order, the continuous romance of INEC with former National Chairman, Dr victor Oye. To draw their attention to the subsisting Judgement order of Kwale High court, HCK/40/2019, which expressly nullified the purported NEC meeting of May14th, and all decision and resolution taking in that NEC, as null and void. Subsequently nullifying the purported illegal Convention held in Awka of the 31st May, 2019, prior to an interim court order stopping the process.
3.) To write INEC, a comprehensive letter on the state of affairs in the party, and informing them on the expiration of the tenure of Dr Oye, and his entire NWC, on effluxion of time, on their inability to conduct a proper convention, after their tenure expired on the 6th of June, 2019.
4.) NWC frowns at the exhibition of impunity, and the arrogant violation of court orders, totally undermining the rule of law, despite the full knowledge of the expiration of his tenure by the 6th of June, 2019, and the subsisting court judgement, without any Appeal, or stay of execution. Only a filed application for vacation of judgment which was refused hearing, for improper service, and adjourned to 31st October. And been estopped constitutionally for not relying on Article 19(6) & (7), for their extension of their tenure for 120 days.
5.)NWC resolved to constitute a proper Disciplinary Committee inline with Article 22(3), to probe into all verifiable action, in public and private, of gross misconducts, ranging from financial improprieties, abuse of office, contempt of court, impostor and impersonation, etc.
6.) NWC resolve to partake in the Governorship elections of kogi & Bayelsa , and opt for Direct Primaries, as a result of limitations of time, inline with Electoral Act, 2011(as amended).
7.) Nwc resolve to reduce the bogus nomination fees from the huge 12m of the past to 2.2 m ( expression of interest -N 200,000, nomination fee – N 2 m), this is inline with the dreams of the founding fathers to create a party which will be a mass movement for the masses, talakawas, the common man, to actualize his dream, as against a party for elites and money bags, as captured in our manifestoes.
8.) Nwc resolve to free fee ticket for women, inline with the Beijing Affirmation for women, as adopted in our manifestoes.
9.) Nwc appeals to all stakeholders of the party, both the aggrieved, and those who left the party to temper mercy and return back to the party. We are doing everything humanly possible to recover our party from the aliens and vultures, who was almost taking over the labour of our pride, and reduced same to a coven of corruption, abuse of office, ATM machine, while exhibiting the highest impunity, fascism, dictatorship, and authoritarian gangsterism.
We promise to deliver in rescuing the party at all cost, and we are on course, as victory is near, and there will be light at the end of the tunnel.
The Egyptian we see today, we shall see no more.
Long live the entire APGA family nationwide
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Long live Democracy….
Alh A. D. Musa
Ag. National Secretary, APGA.
