Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has been sworn in for a second term alongside his deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, at the Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka.
Addressing the gathering, Soludo declared that politics and elections were over in the state and called on his former opponents to join hands with his administration to move Anambra forward.
The governor urged Igbos not to waste their votes in the 2027 general elections, stating that President Bola Tinubu has earned the trust of the region and reshaped the Igbo economic landscape. He added that although he hopes to see greater Igbo representation at the presidency in the future, the time is not now.
