The campaign organization of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the August 16, 2025, Anambra South Senatorial by-election, Sir Azuka Okwuosa, has dismissed reports suggesting that he plans to challenge the outcome of the poll in court.

In a statement issued on Sunday and signed by the Azuka Okwuosa Media Team, the organization described the publication titled “Sir Azuka Okwuosa is Loading” and attributed to Hon. Ujunwa Alaebo of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Movement as “a product of mischief makers,” stressing that it was neither authorized by Okwuosa nor his campaign team.

The statement urged the public to disregard the misleading report, reiterating that Sir Okwuosa remains committed to the rule of law and would not be approaching the courts over the disputed election.

While addressing journalists on August 17, Okwuosa had decried what he called widespread irregularities during the poll, alleging that agents of the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) attacked his supporters, leaving several with injuries and trauma.

Despite the challenges, the campaign expressed gratitude to the people of Anambra South for their overwhelming support, describing Okwuosa as “the best qualified and the right choice” for the district.

“We urge our teeming supporters to remain calm, law-abiding, and prayerful as we trust God to rescue our dear state from the bad governance orchestrated by the APGA-led government,” the statement read.
