American musician Chris Brown was arrested early Thursday morning at The Lowry Hotel in Manchester over allegations he assaulted a music producer with a bottle at a London nightclub in 2023.
The 36-year-old was taken into custody by Metropolitan Police detectives around 2 a.m., shortly after arriving in the UK on a private jet. He is being held on suspicion of grievous bodily h@rm and is currently in police custody for questioning.
The arrest stems from a February 19, 2023 incident at Tape nightclub in Mayfair, where producer Abe Diaw claims Brown att@cked him without provocation during a club night called “Dirty Martini.” Diaw alleged Brown struck him on the head two or three times with a bottle before continuing to p¥nch and k+ck him while he was on the ground.
Police confirmed that the investigation is being handled by the Central West Area Command Unit. At the time of the incident, Brown was in the UK as part of his global tour.
