Pakistan has carried out a strike on what it described as a joint military training base operated by the Taliban, Al-Qaeda and Islamic State (ISIS) in Kabul, according to security sources.
Officials said the facility was allegedly being used to train suicide bombers and plan future attacks. The strike reportedly killed several militants, including individuals described as suicide bombing experts.
Authorities in Pakistan claimed the operation targeted a “major operational hub” where coordinated attacks were being prepared. They said the action was based on intelligence indicating imminent threats linked to the facility.
There has been no immediate confirmation from Afghan Taliban authorities regarding the incident, and casualty figures remain unverified by independent sources.
Tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan have escalated in recent months over cross-border security concerns, with Islamabad repeatedly accusing militant groups of operating from Afghan territory — claims the Taliban government has previously denied.
