After a street local tour to the rural area of Buguma, ASALGA in Rivers State on Monday, March 26, 2020;
Covid-19 awareness was taken to the streets as hand sanitizers was distributed to various people including the Primary Healthcare, Ido in Asari – Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The people were taught on the need to stay safe and in return various complains was made as regards poor water supply at the Healthcare which should not be so.
The Chairman of MLJ Marine Oil and Gas, Mpaka Longjohn who is a strong follower of Kalabari activities got hold of the complains and in his nature as a philantrophist decides to drill a water supply for the Primary Healthcare Ido as a means of contributing to the people of ASALGA during this trying times.
This project was carried out with immediate effect and within fifteen days the project was commissioned by Kalabari TV on behalf of MLJ Marine Oil and Gas on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 with some of the senior staffs of the Primary Healthcare and Ipalibo Tomson George, the Health Supervisor for ASALGA in attendance.
News learnt this Friday evening, April 10, 2020 barely three days after commissioning this project states that The chairman of ASALGA, Chief Hon. Odiari Princewill approved the removal of the 3000 litre capacity water project which was commisioned three days earlier for some personal reasons which is not in the interest of the people.
