Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has approved the full implementation of the 2024 Consolidated Health Salary Structure (CONHESS) for health workers in Anambra State.
The approval, announced in a circular dated October 2, 2025, and signed by the Head of Service, Dame Theodora Okwy Igwegbe (mni), takes immediate effect.
According to the circular, the 100% CONHESS implementation covers several categories of health professionals in the state, including:
- Nurses and Nurse Anaesthetists/Psychiatric Nurses
- Community Health Technicians
- Dental Therapists
- Medical Laboratory Scientists and Technicians
- Pharmacy Technicians
- Radiographers
- Physiotherapists
The directive applies to all staff within these categories across the state’s health sector.
“All relevant Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), the Local Government Service Commission, the Accountant-General for the State, and the Accountant-General for Local Governments are to ensure immediate implementation of this directive,” the circular stated.
