Businessman Accuses Soludo Taskforce of Demanding ₦500,000 Bribe in Awka

Soludo Taskforce

Tensions rose in Anambra State after a businessman publicly accused a unit of the Soludo Taskforce of demanding sudden additional fees during a delivery.

The businessman, who transported a container all the way from Lagos to Awka, expressed his frustration:

“We brought this container all the way from Lagos to Awka… now they’re demanding an extra ₦500,000 before we can even offload it.”

His grievance highlights growing concerns among transporters and traders over alleged unofficial fees and arbitrary charges affecting logistics and trade within the state.

This incident adds to a series of complaints from business operators who argue that such practices increase operational costs and create unnecessary bottlenecks for commerce in Anambra.
