Grammy-winning rapper, Cardi B, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to her fans after her latest album exceeded industry expectations. Sharing the news on social media, the Bronx-born star revealed that the project, which was initially projected to sell 115,000 units off singles Outside and Imaginary Players, has already surpassed that mark just two weeks after release.
“Two weeks ago the album was projected to do 115k… I didn’t know what the outcome was gonna be. I hadn’t put out an album in seven years and haven’t dropped much music recently, but we just surpassed all that expectation,” Cardi B wrote.
She thanked fans for streaming, sharing videos, and supporting the songs, noting that their love has reignited her confidence and drive. “You don’t know the confidence and boost you gave me in my music to keep pushing… I can’t wait to see you guys on tour. Tonight we celebrate!!! I can’t pop no champagne… but maybe I can open up some cranberry juice or something!” she added playfully.
