The Founder of “United for a New Nigeria Initiative” & PDP Woman Leader/Mobilizer Lady Juliet Anaeme have advised the federal government not to extend the lock down orders if they are not ready to provide and place food on the table of poor Nigerians.
Remember, last week Thursday being 16th of April 2020; the concerned PDP Woman Leader called on the federal government to address issues of hunger virus which is the aftermaths of the lock down orders as federal government extended the lockdown to 14 more days, which earlier this week the Nigerian Governor’s Forum after an E-meeting agreed to have a 14 days totally interstate lockdown order which has resumed.
Lady Juliet pursuant to the State of the Nation have advised the federal government not to extend the lockdown at the end of the 14 more days lock down order if they are not ready to provide for the poor masses who are dying/suffering/lamenting over the rate of hunger which have come to exist due to the lockdown order.
She also brought to the notice of the F.G that this lockdown have rendered families who depend on daily profit of their small-scale businesses confused, extremely hungry & sick due to lack of money for feeding and treatment.
She also frowned on the disbursement of F.G N5000 relief fund from the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs; stating that Nigerians are yet to receive any fund from them, most especially the South-East Zone and appeal to the F.G for fair distribution of relief funds/materials.
In her words “Every Nigerian values his/her life and would like to be safe by keeping the stay at home order if only there is enough food in the house, it’s only hunger that drives Nigerians to the street and if not addressed it will keep making Nigerians to break the stay at home order as we know its not always easy for hungry man to maintain the law.
She finally, appeal to Nigerians to adjust and start learning how to manage the situation as long as it last.
