The newly appointed General Manager of the Enugu State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA), the delivery platform(DP)for the Nigeria Community Action for Resilliance and Economic Stimulus Programme NG-CARES,Hon Monday Diamond Ani, has commenced his first official monitoring and supervision exercise across the State for the selected micro-projects in the three Senatorial Zones.

Hon Diamond,who assumed office in December 2025, scheduled the tour to assess projects implemented under Result Area 1.4—Social Service Infrastructure Micro-Projects—with a focus on evaluating their implementation status, functionality, and overall impact on beneficiary communities.

The exercise also provides an opportunity for direct engagement with community stakeholders, enabling the General Manager to gain firsthand insight into project progress, challenges, and outcomes across the zones.

The monitoring tour reflects Hon. Ani’s strong commitment to accountability, transparency, and results-driven leadership, as he takes deliberate steps to strengthen service delivery and enhance project outcomes under the Nigeria CARES Programme.
Over the years, the Agency has intervened in more than 150 communities.

During this phase of the tour, the General Manager in company of other Management Staff of the Enugu State CSDA visited Ashishi Owo, Ishiagu Owo, Ohuani Owo, Ndiagu Owo, and Eziama Amechi Idodo, where water and sanitation (toilets) projects were executed to improve access to essential social services.

Addressing community stakeholders during the visits, Hon Diamond commended the communities for their dedication and collective effort in ensuring the successful completion and utilization of the micro-projects.

He further urged members of the Operation and Maintenance Committees of the Community Project Management Committees (CPMCs) to uphold their responsibilities by ensuring proper maintenance and sustainability of the facilities for long-term community benefit.

The tour marks a significant first step in Hon Diamond’s administration, signaling a renewed drive toward sustainable development, community ownership, and measurable impact across Enugu State.
