CSDA Boss, Monday Diamond Ani Concludes Nkanu East Project Inspection Tour

The General Manager of the Enugu State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA), Hon. Monday Diamond Ani, has successfully concluded his inspection, monitoring and supervision tour of community projects in Nkanu East LGA, with a final stop at Enuogu Nkerefi and Umuawalagu Community,Nara.

During the visit, the Chairman of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Enugu State, who also serves as the Chairman of Nkanu East Local Government Area,received the GM and his Team in his office,the Mayor reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah to the total eradication of open defecation across the state.

He stressed that the goal cannot be achieved without the provision of sustainable water supply in rural communities.

According to him, access to clean water and proper sanitation must go hand in hand, as both are fundamental to public health, human dignity, and sustainable grassroots development.

He made these remarks while receiving the CSDA General Manager and his management team during a courtesy visit to the ALGON Secretariat, assuring them of maximum cooperation and support from local government councils in the execution of rural development projects.

Similarly, at Umuawalagu Community,Nara Unataeze, His Royal Highness, Igwe Abel Nwobodo, the Awalagu I of Umuawalagu,received the CSDA Boss and hiss Team.

Igwe Nwobodo commended the state government’s commitment to strengthening water and sanitation infrastructure in rural areas.

He described the CSDA interventions as critical to improving the living standards of the people and eulogized Governor Mbah for significantly touching the hearts of Ndi Enugu through people-oriented projects.”

The traditional ruler further assured that his community had taken full ownership of the water and sanitation projects, noting that all hands were on deck to ensure their successful completion and sustainability.

In his remarks, the CSDA Boss, Hon Diamond commended the ALGON Chairman for his unrelenting efforts in promoting community development at the grassroots especially in Nkanu East LGA.
He reaffirmed the Agency’s readiness to collaborate closely with local governments, traditional institutions, and communities to advance the development agenda of the Enugu State Government.
