Celebrity nightlife promoter and businessman, Cubana ChiefPriest, has sparked social media reactions after revealing that Nigeria’s Deputy Speaker allegedly sent him a message at 7:08 a.m. and later deleted it an action he says left him “worried, scared, shivering, but still fearless.”

In a lengthy emotional statement, Cubana ChiefPriest expressed deep frustration over the continued insecurity and economic decline in the Southeast, linking much of the region’s suffering to the prolonged detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu (MNK).
He said his relocation from Owerri to Lagos came as a result of the instability, noting that his son constantly expresses how much he misses home. The entrepreneur lamented that despite building a country home in his village six years ago, he only recently visited after five years only to meet widespread poverty.
Declaring that he is already “wounded and in pain,” ChiefPriest told the Deputy Speaker that nothing done to him could hurt more than what the region has already suffered.
He urged the lawmaker to use his influence to unite Southeast governors, summon ministers, rally elites, and work toward restoring peace, stating that the same effort he puts into his style, appearance, and convoy should be invested in the region’s development.
“You’re a smart, stylish, young and clean guy apply that to governance,” he wrote, calling on him to set aside party politics and prioritize the region.
ChiefPriest added that if the Deputy Speaker succeeds in restoring peace and pushing for MNK’s release, “we will use our own hands to make you governor.”
He insisted that Southeast residents want to return home for festivities like December celebrations, stressing that “we weren’t born in Lagos; we have a home.”
Ending his message, he clarified that his remarks were not an attack but a wake-up call:
“No fight me oh! I be your boy. I love you. It’s just a wake-up call because to whom much is given, much is expected.”
