Dangote Refinery has delightfully lowered its retail price for premium motor spirit across the country.

This announcement was made on Monday, September 15, 2025, marking the new commencement date for its direct petrol distribution initiative.

Initially set to launch on August 15, 2025, this ambitious initiative — which involves the $20 billion facility — aims to supply petrol and diesel to consumers through a fleet of 4,000 compressed natural gas trucks at no logistics cost.

The remarkable 650,000-barrel-per-day refinery has set its new gantry price at N820 per litre, maintaining the same rate declared last month.

Currently embroiled in a confrontation with the Nigerian Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), this update was shared via a fresh price template published on Dangote Group’s X account.

According to the new price template, in cities like Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, and Ekiti, the petrol retail price established by Dangote Refinery now stands at N841, down from N860 per litre.

In the federal capital, as well as Edo, Delta, Rivers, and Kwara states, the leading African refinery’s retail price is now N851, reduced from N885 per litre.

This reduction entails that Dangote Refinery will now provide petrol directly to enthusiastic consumers in Lagos and the South-west states at a more affordable retail price of N19, while in Abuja, North Central, and the South-South regions, there will be a N34 decrease.

The company emphasized that this new pricing structure and direct fuel distribution scheme is set to take effect on Monday, September 15, 2025.
