Former senator Ben Murray-Bruce has said Afrobeats star Davido has the potential to become the Governor of Osun State someday. He made this statement in a video message, citing the Adeleke family’s strong political background and Davido’s immense popularity.
Murray-Bruce highlighted that Davido’s uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke, is the current governor of Osun, while another uncle, the late Isiaka Adeleke, once held the same position. He believes Davido’s influence, political interest, and family legacy position him as a viable future political leader.
He also urged more entertainers to enter politics, saying their connection with young people could bring new energy and ideas into governance. According to him, “Davido is a global star, but also a political an+mal with firm views and ideology. If he runs, I predict he will win.”
