Delta Foremost CSOs, NGOs And Ex-Millitant Group Commends Okowa on Unuafe’s appointment

ASABA- Arising from its meeting today by the formidable Civic group
in Asaba, Delta State capital, the Delta North (Anioma) Chapter of Civil Societies, Non- Governmental Organizations (NGOs)and Ex- Millitant Groups in Delta State led by its Coordinator, who doubled as the Delta State treasurer of the Forum, Comrade Emenike Bieni, the group Commended Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for appointing the Chairman of the group in the State as one of his aide.

Civil Societies, NGOs and Ex-Millitant Groups in the State is a formidable Civic engagement Forum endorses by Delta State Government as the Coalition of all Civil Societies, Non- Governmental Organizations and Ex-Millitant Groups who come together to ensure that they speak in one voice towards sustainable growth and development of the State through citizens engagement.

The group spoke to our reporter while fielding questions from Newsmen through its Secretary in Anioma Nation, Delta North Senatorial district, Comrade Mercy Okonkwo who thanked the Governor for appointing Prince Oboro Unuafe as Senior Special Assistant SSA to the Governor on Information and Orientation.

Comrade Mercy stated that is one of the best appointments the Governor has made so far in his history of Civic engagement and media development of the State, while describing the gesture as a good development towards deepening the media sector and Civic space for sustainable development in the State and greater contributions to stronger Delta Agenda of State Government.

She added that Prince Oboro Unuafe had proven proficiency, effectiveness, efficiency, and competence in the administration of Civil Societies, NGOs and Ex-Millitant Groups in the State over the years with track records of equity, Justice and fairness amongst the three Senatorial districts of the State.

The group stated that Prince Oboro will deliver hundred in his area of assignment, then assured the Governor of its full support to Delta State Government, his administration, the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the State for Socio-economic development and in fulfilment of the policies on stronger Delta Agenda for the remaining years of his stay in office.
