The traditional council of Umiaghwa-Abraka Kingdom, has announced the deposing of Chief Peter Onojake over his alleged refusal to handover the leadership of the Council of Urhobo Chiefs in Lagos and actions leading to disunity among Urhobo people in Lagos State.
The decision was taken after a meeting of the council presided over by the Ovie, HRM (AVM) Ochuko Ararile (rtd.), Avwaeke 1.
Speaking to journalists after the meeting, the Spokesman of the kingdom, Chief Nath Anho, disclosed that there had been a misunderstanding over two rival groups of the Council of Urhobo Chiefs in Lagos, saying that in the past, the matter was looked into by Urhobo Traditional Rulers Forum, but was referred to HRM (AVM) Ochuko Ararile (rtd.), Avwaeke 1, Ovie of Umiaghwa-Abraka kIngdom, since the leaders of the two factions at war are indigenes of the kingdom.
