Eleven Nigerian Air Force (NAF) pilots have departed Burkina Faso and arrived safely in Ghana on their way to Portugal for a scheduled flight maintenance mission, following diplomatic engagements between Nigeria and Burkinabè authorities.
The pilots had been detained in Burkina Faso for 12 days before their release, which came after high-level talks led by Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Yusuf Tuggar, with the government of Burkina Faso, including discussions with President Ibrahim Traoré in Ouagadougou.
