Usher, the Grammy-winning R&B singer and performer known for hits like Yeah! has defended Sean “Diddy” Combs, the hip-hop mogul, producer, and entrepreneur behind Bad Boy Records against negative public perception and misrepresentation.

In a Forbes interview, he said, “I don’t have anything negative to say about Sean Combs. My experience was not what the world has seen,” noting some people are criticized despite their contributions.

Describing Diddy as a “legacy,” Usher praised his role in shaping hip-hop culture and creating opportunities for Black entrepreneurs.

He credited observing Diddy’s discipline and business strategies early in his career for teaching him key lessons in entrepreneurship.

Diddy responded through a spokesperson, saying, “I’ve always had love and respect for Usher. I appreciate his words and everything he’s achieved
