The Former Kano State Governor, Engr. Sen Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has called on his teeming supporters across the country especially PDP and Kwankwassiya members not to insult or deride anybody on his behalf but must stay focused.
He gave the advice in Abuja while addressing some support groups that came to visit and identified with him and PDP including Kwankwassiya ideology.
According to him, whoever engages in any forms of insult, rudeness is not working for him and the party. He said that at the appropriate time he will declare his interest to contest for the presidency under the platform of People’s Democratic Party PDP, saying his major preoccupation now is to help in strengthen the party PDP via Kwankwassiya Movement through education, employment towards 2023 and beyond.
Kwankwaso told his supporters to also respect the wishes of other intending aspirants who are interested in contesting for the president under the PDP.
He described former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Former President of the Senate Abubakar Saraki, Rivers State Governor Nyeson Wike, Sokoto State Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal etc as all brothers and partners in the tasks of liberating Nigeria and put it on the path of greatness.
I must advice all my supporters in PDP and Kwankwassiya movement and other well-wishers not to insult or be rude to any other aspirant or party leader on my behalf, adding that party interest should be put above self interest. We must not engage in any kind of acts that will tarnish the image of any leader or promote disharmony and bitterness within the ranks of the party. Whoever does that he or she is not working for me.” Kwankwaso said.
The former Minister of Defence between 2003-2007 caution his support groups to be wary of some individual who uses religion and ethnic .differences to cause political harmony and division in the country.
