Reality star and public figure, Unusual Phyna, has issued a strongly worded statement accusing the Dangote Group of making misleading claims regarding financial support for Ruth’s medical treatment.
Phyna stated that contrary to a recent press release by the Dangote Group, the conglomerate did not cover Ruth’s hospital bills in full, nor did they make any confirmed arrangements to fly her abroad for further treatment in India.
According to Phyna, the company’s only contribution was to Lagoon Hospital, Lagos, and that was where their involvement ended. She challenged the Dangote Group to provide evidence if they claimed otherwise, demanding:
- Hospital payment records beyond Lagoon Hospital,
- Proof of any travel arrangements,
- Documented communication regarding international treatment.
“These records do not exist because no such efforts were made,” Phyna declared.
She condemned the claims as a “false public narrative” aimed at exploiting Ruth’s suffering for corporate image laundering.
“For the public record, the only bill they covered was at Lagoon Hospital. They have made no payments elsewhere, and there were no real plans to take Ruth abroad for treatment. Anything beyond these facts is a fabrication,” Phyna stated.
The reality star warned that if the falsehood was not corrected, she would take further steps to protect Ruth’s dignity and ensure accountability.
“Human life is not a PR strategy. Do not claim what you did not do,” she concluded.
