Ebonyi State unsafe for hoodlums: Hon. Chinedu Ogah

The member representing Ezza-South/ Ikwo Federal Constitutency, Ebonyi state in the House of Representatives, Hon. Chinedu Ogah, OON, yesterday commended the state Commissioner of Police, Sule Maku for combating criminal activities in the state.

Ogah made this known in a statement signed by his Chief of staff, Mr. Ogochukwu Elem.

He said since Maku came into the state as Commissioner, Ebonyi has become unsafe for hoodlums.

Hon. Ogah also commended other senoir Officers of the command for their support to the CP which he said has ensured the safety of the state and the citizenry.

He highlighted the tracking of a kidnapped victim who was taken to Ikwo local government area of the state from Enugu and by Anti kidnapping squad of the command.

He urged Ebonyi people to assist the police in doing their job by providing adequate information.

In his words: “I commend the Commissioner of police, the deputy commissioner of police, the AK commander, and the entire police work for the work they are doing in the state especially in rescuing kidnapped victims in hands of kidnappers.

“Raphael Nworie a suspected kidnapper and his gang on Friday a kidapped one Mr Obasi Chigozie was kidnapped from Ogwu local government area of Enugu state, brought to Ikwo so he will not know his way but on the kidnappers way going back, police traced and got them in Ikwo which made the kidnappers to abdandon their vehicle and ran into the bush when one of them came out on Saturday morning to find his way home, he was arrested by the villigers in Ikwo and immediately contacted the police. It is worthy of commendation.

Ogah further assure the command that the people of his constitutency Ezza South/Ikwo shall continue to assist the police in carrying out their duties as there is no hiding place for them in my constitutency.
