The Edo state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC) has lost his Commandant in the person of Commandant Agun Gbenga.
According to a statement made available to Galaxy news by the Command’s public relations officer Ogbebor Efosa, said the commandant collapsed after delivering a goodwill message at an event organized by the International Association of World Peace Advocates in Benin city.
According to him, the NSCDC Commandant was rushed to the military hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Until his death, he was said to be an astute operations officer who worked tirelessly to ensure the protection of lives and property of citizens.
His humility, friendliness and intelligence earned him great respect and admiration, while his dedication to duty and commitment to excellence will be deeply missed by the Edo NSCDC and the nation.
