Dr. Uchechukwu Ogah, the Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, has enjoined Muslim Ummah to always abide by the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammadu and remain loyal to constituted authority while being willing to make required sacrifices in their personal lives and associations for the collective good of Nigerians.
The Minister gave the admonition, in a message personally signed and issued to DAILY POST, on Friday, to mark 2020 Eid-Mubarak, by Moslem Faithful across Nigeria and the world.
The former Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Abia State, called for fervent prayers and obedience in making sacrifices towards the development of the country.
Ogah used the medium to reiterate the federal goverment’s determination to curb myraids of challenges ravaging the nation, especially the rampaging coronavirus diseases.
The Minister also reminded Nigeria citizenry to remain resolute in sustaining all health protocols in the efforts of government at all levels to quell the spreads of the COVID-19 infection.
He however felicitated with President Muhammadu Buhari and Moslem community on the celebration of Eid-Mubarak festival.
The message partly read, “Around the world and in our country, Nigeria, once again, it is time for our Muslim Ummah to mark the Festival of Sacrifice, Eid al-Adha. This period reminds us of the call to loyalty and obedience in making sacrifices, even as we reflect on the mercies of God upon our nation.
“May you enjoy a beautiful sallah celebration and may the blessings that emanate from the willingness to make sacrifices for our collective good and of obedience to Allah (SWT), grant us increasing happiness, togetherness and progress”.
Meanwhile, Abia Governor, Governor Ikpeazu, has urged the Moslem Ummah in the State to reflect deeply on the message of sacrifice which the Eid El Kabir signified and use the opportunity to pray for the peace and progress of Abia State and the Nigerian nation.
The Governor in a Congratulatory message issued in Umuahia, by his Chief Press Secretary, Onyebuchi Ememanka, commemoratinh 2020 Eid-El -Kabir celebration, expressd his appreciation to the Moslem Community in the State for their commitment to peace and good neighborliness.
