As the fight against corruption heightens in the country, the Kaduna State governor, Mallam Nasiru El-Rufa’i has called on Nigerians to support the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in the fight against corruption.
El- rufai said this while receiving officers of the Kaduna Zonal Office of the Commission on a courtesy visit in his office on Wednesday.
The governor assured the Commission that the state will work hand in hand with the EFCC in tackling corruption in the state by giving the Commission all the neccessary support needed saying transparency is key in his government.
He disclosed that the state government has “enacted state laws that will help in regulating corruption cases ravaging the state.
The EFCC team led by Mailafia Yakubu, EFCC Zonal Head Kaduna state, told the governor that the commission is ready to get rid of corruption in tne country.
According to Mailafia, “Our job is to get rid of corruption for the betterment of our generation and the generation yet unborn”
The Zonal Head head stated that the fight against corruption is a fight for all and the Commission needs everyone’s support to achieve its mandate.
Mailafia also appreciated the state government for creating Kaduna State Geographical Information System KADGIS which helps in dealing with landscams cases in the state.
