St. Mary’s Catholic School in Niger State, Nigeria, was attacked overnight, resulting in the abduction of more than 50 students and teachers in a tragic escalation of school kidnappings in the region.
Reacting to the incident, U.S Congressman Riley Moore described the attack as “heartbreaking” and called for urgent action to protect innocent lives. “Enough is enough. We must do everything we can to defend our brothers and sisters in Christ,” he said.
The abduction adds to the growing concern over security in Nigeria’s schools, with both local and international leaders urging swift measures to ensure the safe return of the victims.
