…Ayogu Eze should respect court decision and quit.
INEC should summon the courage to ask senator Ayogu Eze to stop parading himself as a governorship candidate of APC in Enugu state.
A federal high court in its judgement on Tuesday, February 5, sacked Senator Ayogu Eze as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Enugu State. Justice I. Ekwo of the Federal High Court 5, ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to recognize Barr George Ogara as the candidate of the party for the March 9 governorship election.
But Senator Ayogu Eze has defiled the court judgement as he kept parading himself in the state
The election on March 9, is between gov Ugwuanyi of PDP, George Ogara of APC and 20 other unserious candidates who had stepped down for gov Ugwuanyi.
Like APC, APGA has no governorship candidate in Enugu state. INEC did not publish any name for APGA as the only two party aspirants are still locked in legal battle. Dr Emma Nwankpa and Mr Bede Chukwuekezie are dragging the party ticket at the court.
However, Barr Ogara and Ayogu Eze can not be holding parallel campaigns. Ayogu should obey the court judgement. He should return to the Appeal Court or support his brothers in either APC or PDP. Both Ogara and Gburugburu are from Nsukka. Ayogu should do the needful.
Senator Ayogu Eze lost out due to so many unresolved internal crisis in APC, Enugu state.
INEC should take note of this violation.
