The Federal Ministry of Environment has confirmed the death of Hajiya Dayyaba, mother of the Honourable Minister of Environment, Malam Balarabe Abbas Lawal.
She died on Saturday, 9 November 2025, in Zaria, Kaduna State, after a brief illness.
According to the ministry, the Janazah (funeral prayer) will be held on Monday, 10 November 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in Bambale, Zaria City.
The ministry offered prayers for the repose of her soul, asking Allah to forgive her shortcomings, grant her Al-Jannatul Firdaus, and give the family strength to bear the loss.
