An eyewitness has alleged that suspected bandits attacked their community, killing seven people, before security operatives intervened in a manner residents described as “protecting the attackers.”
According to the eyewitness, the incident occurred when armed men, believed to be Fulani bandits, invaded the village and opened fire on residents. In response, local youths reportedly mobilized to defend the community.
However, the eyewitness claims that security operatives who arrived at the scene allegedly targeted the defending youths instead of confronting the attackers, allowing the suspected bandits to escape.
