Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Oluseyi Babaseyi, described the case involving Mirabel as “a matter of national importance” with significant societal implications. He explained that there are two possible outcomes once the investigation concludes.
“If she is telling the truth based on her account and experience, the perpetrator will be arrested and appropriately charged in court,” Babaseyi said. “On the other hand, if the claims are found to be false, the law provides for consequences, and anyone giving false information can be held culpable.”
He emphasized the importance of a thorough investigation, noting that the outcome carries serious implications either way.
