The Federal Government has filed criminal charges against Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan following comments she made during a live interview on Channels Television on April 3, 2025.

In the interview, the senator alleged a plot against her life and made serious claims involving high-ranking officials. She also suggested her security was intentionally withdrawn to expose her to danger, following her suspension from the Senate in March.

The case has been filed at the High Court of the FCT in Abuja. While the full details remain undisclosed, one of the charges reportedly relates to statements that may have harmed the reputation of those mentioned.
