Femi Fani-Kayode has reacted to the statement made by the Senate President, Dr Ahmad Lawan regarding the meeting held by the southern governors, asking the President, Muhammad Buhari to restructure the country.
According to information revealed by a reliable social media platform called “Vanguard”, the Senate President, Dr Ahmad Lawan, has attacked the southern governors for calling for the restructuring of the country, saying it was improper for elected officials to lead such agitation.
According to the Senate President, the security situation facing the country could be referred to the lack of an effective Local Government system, adding that the Local Government system should not be undervalued.
While speaking on the call for the restructuring of the country, the Senate President said, as a leader especially those of us who are elated into office, it is not right for us to be at the forefront of calling for this kind of thing, adding that if you as a governor, you are supposed to be working hard in your state to ensure that this restructuring you are calling for at the federal level, you have done it in your state as well.
Femi Fani-Kayode, however, has revealed that the position that the Senate President has taken on the call for restructuring by the southern governors is infantile, and absurd, adding that it seems like the Senate President have been living in another world.
