The Federal Ministry of Education has denied reports circulating to the effect that it has order the closure of all schools in the country from 24th November 2025.
The Ministry in a statement issued and signed by its Director, Press and Public Relations, Folasade Boriowo, described the reports as false, misleading, and did not originate from the Federal Government, the Federal Ministry of Education, any State Ministry of Education or any recognised security agency.
The statement advised the public to rely strictly on verified information issued through the Federal Government, the Federal Ministry of Education, State Governments and State Ministries of Education as well as the recognised security agencies.
The Government warned that any announcement, advisory, or notice coming from unofficial or unverified sources should be ignored and not shared.
It further enjoined Members of the public to always verify the authenticity of information before circulating it in order to curb the spread of misinformation.
Recall that the Government on Friday announced the closure of 41 Unity Schools following the cases of abduction of Students and Teachers in some schools in the country.
