A fire outbreak on Tuesday gutted a one-storey commercial building housing computer and accessories dealers on Somoye Osundairo Street in Computer Village, Ikeja, Lagos, destroying goods estimated to be worth millions of naira.
The inferno, which reportedly started in the early hours of the day, spread rapidly through several shops before firefighters arrived at the scene. Eyewitnesses said the blaze caused panic among traders and residents in the area as thick smoke billowed into the sky.
