Five unidentified decomposed bodies have been discovered along the Abuja–Kaduna expressway near the boundary between the Federal Capital Territory and Kaduna State.
Akelicious gathered that the victims, all male, were found lying face down with their faces blindfolded with black cloth — an indication they may have been killed elsewhere and dumped at the location by unknown assailants.
Police officers who arrived at the scene recovered two empty AK-47 rifle shells and an android phone. Photographs of the remains were taken for documentation and further investigation.
Given the advanced state of decomposition and the associated health risks, the Chairman of Tafa Local Government Area, Hon. Danladi T. Iyah, instructed the Social Welfare Department to conduct an immediate burial. The burial was carried out at the site in the presence of the Hakimi and Village Head (Dagachi) of Garam.
Authorities say investigations are ongoing to identify the victims and uncover those responsible for the killings.
