Fubara Sacks Commissioners, Public Officers After Supreme Court Judgment

Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, has announced the immediate sack of all commissioners and public officers affected by the recent Supreme Court judgment.

The governor made the declaration on Wednesday during a valedictory session with members of his cabinet at the Government House, Port Harcourt, as part of activities marking Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary.

In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Governor Fubara expressed appreciation to his cabinet members for their dedication and contributions to the state’s development over the past two years. He emphasized the importance of unity, urging Nigerians to work with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in building a peaceful, secure, and prosperous nation.

The governor assured Rivers people of his renewed commitment to serve diligently, thanking them for their continuous support while extending warm Independence greetings to all Nigerians.

The decision officially relieves the affected commissioners and officers of their appointments with immediate effect.
