
The English Football League has unveiled the Carabao Cup third-round fixtures, setting the stage for another round of drama and excitement.
Defending champions Newcastle United will welcome League One side Bradford City to St James’ Park, while League Two surprise package Grimsby Town, fresh from their stunning penalty shootout win over Manchester United, will take on Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship.
Elsewhere, Manchester City open their campaign away at Huddersfield Town, while Arsenal face a tricky test against League One side Port Vale.
Chelsea are on the road to Lincoln City, Tottenham Hotspur meet Doncaster Rovers, and Liverpool will clash with Southampton in one of the standout ties at Anfield.
The matches are scheduled to take place across the weeks of 15 and 22 September, coinciding with the group-stage fixtures of both the UEFA Champions League and Europa League.
