A jam-packed stadium in Calcutta erupted in frustration as fans vented their anger at the authorities after being unable to see their idol, Lionel Messi, during his GOAT Tour in India.
Messi reportedly stayed for just 22 minutes, surrounded by politicians and heavy police security, which prevented the public from getting a clear view of him. Several scheduled programmes were also cancelled. Tickets to see Lionel Messi were priced at a minimum of ₹4,500, adding to the disappointment among fans.
Bollywood legend Shah Rukh Khan was also expected to arrive at the ground, but he did not turn up.
