Nigerian gospel singer Ebukasongs has stirred reactions online after criticising the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the state of insecurity in the country.
In a post shared on his Instagram page, the singer expressed frustration over the continued loss of lives across Nigeria, accusing the government of focusing on billboard campaigns instead of addressing the worsening security situation.
“Baba! Please we are not expecting anything again, the one wey you do is ok. People are dying on a daily basis and all you do is put billboards everywhere? What sort of rubbish is this?” he wrote.
The gospel artiste further stated that Nigerians could no longer expect much from the current administration, saying the government had failed to meet the expectations of citizens.
“Please sir leave Nigeria alone, we can’t expect anything. Thank you sir, your government has indeed failed,” he added.
He also declared that those responsible for the ongoing bloodshed in the country would eventually face justice, writing that “every blood shed will continue to cry out as every wicked man involved in all this mess will never go unpunished.”
The post has since generated widespread reactions across social media, with many Nigerians debating the performance of Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government, while others shared differing views on the singer’s comments.
Nigeria continues to face multiple security challenges, including banditry, kidnappings, and communal clashes, issues that have remained central to public criticism of the current administration.
